TEA OFFERING/ FOOD OFFERING/ LAMP OFFERING (AND OTHERS)
       AT BODHGAYA, INDIA – JAN 25, 2012 TO FEB 3, 2012

Khenpo Dondhup Tashi Rinpoche and members of the Center will be embarking on a pilgrimage to the place where Buddha Shakyamuni attained enlightenment - Bodhgaya, India to join the Annual Great Prayer Festival (Monlam) to be held January 25 to Feb 3, 2012.

During this prayer festival, thousands of monks and lay people from all over the world gather in one big assembly to perform aspirational prayers and practices for the swift rebirth of Enlightened Beings; for the long life and continuation of the enlightened activities of all Gurus; for the spreading of Buddha’s teachings; for world peace and for the liberation and ultimate happiness of all beings in samsara.

As this is such a grand meritorious occasion, Khenpo encourages everyone to take this special opportunity to create merits and connection to such occasion through TEA, FOOD, MONEY or LAMP OFFERINGS to the thousands of monks praying at Bodhgaya.

ONE TIME tea offering to all monks will cost 30,000 pesos while food offering will cost 270,000 pesos.  Khenpo encourages the Philippine Palyul members to collectively raise donations to at least make a one time Tea Offering.  Depending on the donations collected, we may offer food or divide donations between lamp offering, life release and hanging prayer flags.

For those who would like to participate, please register names and donations with the Center before January 23, 2012.  Thank you very much.

Philippine Tibetan Nyingma Palyul
Buddhist Center

Manila, Philippines
Established in 1992.

About the Center

Through the kind intercession of the late Venerable Chodak Gyatso Rinpoche - the resident spiritual advisor for the Hong Kong Palyul Center, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche accepted an invitation from his devout followers living in the Philippines to visit the country. In 1992, HH Penor Rinpoche travelled to the Philippines together with several important lamas. After seeing the conditions in the Philippines, HH Penor Rinpoche was overcome with compassion and agreed to open a Palyul center. Since then, HH Penor Rinpoche visits the Philippines and gives teachings and empowerments about every two years. Our first resident spiritual advisor was Kalsang Rinpoche. He was followed by Lama Gyurme. Currently, Samten Phunchhok Rinpoche is assigned to our center. He occasionally gives Dharma discourses and performs pujas upon request.

Weekly Pujas at the Center

Regular pujas are held at the Center every Saturday at 6 pm. Everyone is invited to join. For more details, please check our Calendar of Events.

We also have ongoing dharma talks on Ngondro Practice every week. Please contact any lama at 715-2090 to obtain the schedule.
