Through the truth force of the words of the immortal strength of the long life deity and the ten sovereign powers

May the three secrets (of body, speech and mind) of the supreme incarnation (Kuchen Rinpoche) be blessed,

TSE DANG YE SHE GYE PAR DZE DU SOL

And may His life and wisdom be increased!

OGYEN SANG GYE NYI PAI RING LUG KYI

The tradition of the second Buddha, Ogyen Guru Padmasambhava,

KA TER DO NGAG TEN PAI PAD MOI TZAL

Which is a lotus garden of the teachings of sutra and tantra, Kama and Terma

JE DZE CHOE KYI NYI MA NGAG 'O KYI

You (Kuchen Rinpoche) are the Dharma Sun who is its illuminator.

YON TEN CHA SHE DZOG ZHIN ZHAB TEN SOL

May you live long accomplishing the entirely of all the worthwhile qualities!

SANG CHEN 'O SAL NYING POI RING LUG DAR

May the tradition of the great secret clear light essence prosper!

KAL ZANG KHE TSUN GE DUN DU PA GYE

May the assembly of the fortunate, wise, and disciplined Sangha expand!

NOE CHU GU ZHI PHEN DEI PAL GYE PAI

May the universe and its inhabitants be free from degeneration and the glory of benefit and happiness increase!

TA SHI NANG WAI SA SUM KHYAB GYUR CHIG

And may the light of auspiciousness pervade the three worlds!

NAMO GURU NYI MED A TI TEN PA JUNG WAI NE

Homage to the Guru! We prostrate to the source of the doctrine of non-dual Ati (The Great Perfection),

LHUN DRUB KU SUM RAB JAM GYAL WAI ZHING

Infinite Buddha fields of the spontaneously present three kayas,

ZUNG JUG KHA JOR YEN LAG DUN DEN PAL

Union which is the glory of the seven aspects of joining,

GYA CHED CHOG LHUNG DRAL LA CHAG TSAL LO

Without limitations or falling to extremes.

NE NANG DAG NYAM YING LE MA YOE ZHIN

Not wavering from the expanse of the purity and evenness of the way things abide and appear,

NE NANG NYAM PA PANG PAI DUL JAI NGOR

You benefit beings to be tamed, who lack realization of the evenness of abiding and appearing,

GANG DUL ZUG KUI KOD PE DON DZED PA

By manifesting to them an array of enlightened forms suitable to tame them.

PEMA NORBU'I ZHAB LA SOL WA DEB

Pema Norbu, at your feet we supplicate.

GANG GI RANG ZHIN TAG CHED DRO WONG LE

Your nature primordially and totally transcends permanence and voidness, coming and going.

YE NE YONG DE NAM KHAI RANG ZHIN LE

From this sky-like nature

TRUL PA KU YI YON TEN MA NGE PAI

Your enlightened activity manifests Nirmanakaya forms,

NGO TSAR NGA DEN NAM TAR KOD PA LA

Adorned with the five indefinite marvelous qualities.

MA TOG LOG PAR TOG PAI DZIN ZHEN GYI

Not realizing this and holding the wrong views of grasping and attachment,

JIG TEN PAL PAI KHYE UI ME NGAG TAR

An ordinary, worldly child

PHA MAR DUG YUI DREN PA ZHIN MIN PAR

Cries to his parents at every discomfort. This invocation is nothing like such whining.

YE SHE ZIG PA YING NE KUL LAG NA

Look upon us with your wisdom from the primordial expanse!

MI NGON DUL DRAL CHOE KUI YING CHIG LE

From the unmanifest, stainless Dharmakaya's sole expanse

NGON GYUR JIG TEN JE WA TRAG GYAI ZHING

Manifest hundreds of millions of worlds.

CHI DANG JE DRAG DZAM LING SA YI TIL

In [all these worlds] in general, and particularly in the center of Jambudvipa,

NGO TSAR NGA DEN YUL DRU CHEN PO NGAR

In the five great lands with the five marvelous qualities,

TRUL PAI DOE GAR TOG PA MED GYUR TE

May the display of manifestations be unimpeded.

DREL CHE DRO KUN NGON TOI NANG WA NE

May all beings who connect with them experience the higher realms

NGE LEG TAR TUG NANG WA CHOG GI SA

And gradually attain ultimate liberation, the supreme state,

KUN ZANG SA LA TEN SID ZIN DZED SOL

The perpetual domain of Buddha Samantabhadra.

KHYED PAR PEN CHEN BIMALA MI TRE

The great scholar Vimalamitra

MI LO DRANG JA GYA TRAG RE REI TSAM

Vowed and made the aspiration that

BOD DU JON PAR TUG KYED DAM CHE ZHIN

Once every hundred human years he would incarnate in Tibet.

KHEN CHEN NGAG GI WANG POI TSUL ZUNG WEI

Khenchen Ngagi Wangpo is one of these manifestations.

BIMALA YI TRUL PAR TSEN SOL WA

He declared you as the reincarnation of Vimalamitra in particular,

DRUB PAI WANG CHUG PEMA NORBUI PAL

The glorious Mahasiddha Pema Norbu!

GANG KHYOD DAG CHAG YAL WAR MA DOR WAR

We supplicate you not to neglect us:

ZUG KUI KOD PA NYUR WAR TEN PAR SOL

Swiftly display your physical manifestation!

KYAB CHIG LA MA CHOG GI JIN LAB DANG

By the blessing of the Sole Protector, the Supreme Guru,

DEN NYI TEN DREL LU WA MED PAI TUE

And by the power of the unfailing interdependence of the two truths,

DAG CHAG KHYED KYI JE SU JUG PA KUN

May all of us, your followers,

KHYED ZHIN GYUR NE KHOR WA DONG TRUG SHOG

Become like you and empty samsara from its depths.

The life-force pillar of the Early Translation teachings, Drupwang Rinpoche Pema Norbu, you worked for a time in this realm to tame beings, and now with the wisdom intent to benefit other beings to be tamed, you have shown the act of departing. Thus, with unshakable faith in you, I, Thinley Norbu, have swiftly written this supplication.

NGA GYAI TSUG GYEN PEN CHEN BIMALA

You are the crown jewel of five hundred scholars,

LAR YANG SID PA ZUNG WAI TSUL TEN CHING

The great scholar Vimalamitra, who has taken birth once again;

NYING POI TEN PA PEL LA DA DRAL WA

You who have no rivals in spreading the heart essence of the teachings:

PEMA NORBUI ZHAB LA SOL WA DEB

I pray to Drubwang Pema Norbu.

GANG GI YANG SID CHOG GI TRUL PAI KU

Hold us with your compassion

NYUR WA NYID DU JON PAR TUG JE ZUNG

Through the swift coming of your reincarnation, the supreme emanation!

The first four lines are an original prayer composed by Khenchen Ngagi Wangpo, and the last two lines were verbally added by Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche on 28th March, 2009, over the phone as a prayer for the swift rebirth of His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche.
